absent presence
6 - 12 MAY 2026
Along the shifting sands of the East Anglian coast, settlements and structures once steadfast and sure have succumbed to the power of the sea. From coastal ruins that mark the slow collapse of human certainty into elemental change, to historic structures that hint of a threat or danger now diminished. This exhibition traces the quiet dialogue between what remains and what has gone.
An absent presence
6th to 12th May, 2026
Open daily, 9am - 5.30pm
Absent Presence explores coastal shift not only as a physical process but as a metaphor for memory and legacy. Each fragment, each trace, holds within it both loss and continuity—evidence of the unseen forces that shape place, time, and imagination.
Amid wind, salt, and tide, the works ask how we inhabit disappearance - and how absence itself can leave the most enduring mark.
Original works, giclée prints, and cards available
